A group of Artspace artists ventured to the Pallant House Gallery in early March. They saw the 60 Years of British Printmaking – Hockney to Himid exhibition, which extensively documented the important visual language of printmaking from post war Britain to the present day. Everyone had their own personal favourite whilst appreciating the skill and craftmanship of all the artists.
“It was great!” said Eleana. “Really nice to get out of the house after being in isolation for two weeks. I especially enjoyed the Pop Art Section.”
Emily really enjoyed the Anthony Gormley piece, it reminded her of Alfred Hitchcock’s film “Vertigo.”
“I haven’t been to an art gallery for years!” Said Suzie. “It was inspirational and I came away with lots of ideas.”
For those who were not able to attend we purchased the Catalogue for the studio. Richard appreciated the Grayson Perry prints – “Very androgenous!”
Thank you to the Sussex Community Foundation for the donation of funds which have been dedicated to financing Gallery visits.
