Artspace member Emily has shared some good news this month!
Her 100 cm x 100 cm Acrylic on Canvas Painting from 2021 called "Dynamic Linear Space on a two-dimensional Surface, has been longlisted for the prestigious Aesthetica Art Prize 2022 run by an arts and culture publication called Aesthetica Magazine.
This means the following:
Longlisted artists (around 100 people) will be featured in a book called Future Now 2022 Anthology.
Longlisted artists will also have a profile listing on the Art Prize website.
The exhibition of shortlisted artists will open at York Art Gallery on 24th June with the Anthology published in the same month.
Longlisted artists' work will be shown in the gallery on a screen, alongside the exhibition of shortlisted artists
The exhibition will run from 24th June to 25th September and is free entry
When Aesthetica Magazine wrote to Emily they said:
"The work on display takes the temperature of global Contemporary artistic practice."
This is a fantastic achievement and the entire Artspace team wishes Emily the best of luck.
